ArastaLink Refund & Returns Policy (B2C)

This Refund & Returns Policy ("Policy") explains how refunds, cancellations, and returns work for consumer (B2C) customers who use ArastaLink's assisted purchasing and international delivery services from Türkiye.

This Policy forms part of, and must be read together with, the ArastaLink Pre-Information Form and the ArastaLink Distance Service Contract (B2C) (the "Contract"). If there is a conflict, the Contract and mandatory consumer law prevail.
Business clients: If you are acting for commercial purposes, this Policy does not apply; refunds and returns are governed by ArastaLink's business terms and/or your signed agreement.
1. Key principles
Transparent pricing. Before you accept a payment obligation, you will see the payable amount (or a clear calculation method if final shipping must be based on actual packed weight/volume).
ArastaLink provides services, not manufacturing. Items are purchased from third-party sellers in Türkiye. Seller stock, final pricing, and return rules are controlled by the seller.
Refund within 24 hours if we cannot purchase. If an item cannot be purchased, we refund amounts paid for that item within 24 hours from confirmation (Section 4).
Mandatory consumer rights apply. Nothing in this Policy limits rights that cannot be waived under mandatory Turkish consumer law.
2. Definitions (for clarity)
Consumer: a natural person acting for non-commercial purposes.
Item: a product you asked ArastaLink to purchase based on a link/specifications you provided.
Order: one or more Items plus related services (purchase, handling, packaging, shipping arrangement).
Commission: ArastaLink's fixed purchasing commission disclosed before payment.
Approved Price Limit: the price limit you set (e.g., "Maximum Price Increase") which determines whether ArastaLink may purchase an Item if the seller's price changes.
3. Cancellations before purchase
3.1 Cancelling an Order/Item before we purchase
If you request cancellation before ArastaLink purchases an Item from the seller, we will cancel the Item and refund the amount paid for that Item.
Timing: refunds are processed as described in Section 9.
3.2 When a cancellation may not be possible
If we have already placed the order with the seller or the seller has already confirmed the purchase, cancellation may no longer be possible. In that case, Section 6 (returns after purchase) applies.
4. "We couldn't purchase your item" - 24-hour refund
4.1 When an item is considered "not purchasable"
An Item is considered not purchasable if, for example:
- the Item is out of stock or the seller refuses the order;
- the seller's price exceeds your Approved Price Limit and you do not approve the higher price;
- the Item is prohibited/restricted under applicable laws, carrier rules, or our compliance policy;
- payment cannot be completed with the seller due to reasons beyond our reasonable control.
4.2 24-hour refund commitment
If an Item is confirmed as not purchasable, ArastaLink will refund the amount you paid for that Item within 24 hours from the moment ArastaLink confirms the Item is not purchasable.
4.3 Permitted deductions (non-recoverable costs)
The refund under Section 4.2 may exclude only:
- non-recoverable third-party costs already incurred and clearly attributable to that Item and disclosed to you in advance (if any).
If no such disclosed, non-recoverable costs exist, the refund will be for the full amount paid for that Item.
5. Price changes and your Approved Price Limit
If the seller's current price exceeds your Approved Price Limit:
- we will ask for your approval before purchasing;
- if you do not approve within a reasonable time, the Item is treated as not purchasable, and Section 4 applies.
6. Returns / exchanges after we purchased an item
6.1 Seller rules govern returns
Because Items are purchased from third-party sellers, any return or exchange depends on:
- the seller's return/exchange policy,
- category restrictions (some categories are non-returnable),
- timing and condition requirements.
ArastaLink cannot guarantee that a seller will accept a return or exchange.
6.2 Our assistance
Where reasonably feasible, ArastaLink will assist you by:
- providing photos, order data, and communications;
- requesting a return/exchange with the seller where possible.
6.3 Costs of returns/exchanges
If a return/exchange is possible, you may be responsible for:
- return shipping within Türkiye,
- seller restocking or other fees (if any),
- any additional handling costs,
- international shipping already incurred (if the item has already been shipped internationally).
We will disclose applicable costs to you before proceeding.
6.4 Refund amount for returned items
If the seller accepts the return and provides a refund to ArastaLink:
- ArastaLink will pass through the refundable amount after it is received,
- minus the Commission for the purchasing service already performed (if the Commission has been earned/performed),
- minus any non-recoverable costs already incurred (e.g., domestic shipping, handling, payment fees charged by third parties, packaging) where applicable.
7. Wrong item, visible defects, or damage before international shipment
7.1 Basic check and photo report
ArastaLink performs a basic visual check and provides photos before shipping internationally. This is not a technical inspection.
7.2 If we detect an obvious issue before shipment
If we detect obvious issues (e.g., wrong color/size where identifiable, visible damage, missing parts) before international shipment, we will:
- notify you, and
- where reasonably possible, attempt to resolve the issue with the seller (exchange/return/partial remedy), subject to seller rules.
Refunds in these cases follow Section 6 (seller acceptance required) unless ArastaLink is legally required to provide a different remedy under mandatory consumer law.
8. Shipping, delivery, customs holds, and losses
8.1 International shipping costs
Once an Item has been shipped internationally, international shipping costs are generally non-refundable, because they are paid to carriers and become non-recoverable.
8.2 Carrier loss or damage during shipment
If a shipment is lost or damaged in transit:
- ArastaLink will assist with the carrier claim process where reasonably possible;
- any compensation depends on carrier rules, declared value, insurance (if purchased), and the carrier's decision.
8.3 Customs holds, refusals, or confiscation
If a shipment is delayed, held, returned, or confiscated by customs or other authorities in the destination country:
- ArastaLink is not responsible for such authority decisions;
- refunds are not provided for such decisions except to the extent we recover amounts from carriers or sellers (rare) and where mandatory law requires otherwise.
Customs duties/taxes and destination clearance fees are the Consumer's responsibility and are not refundable by ArastaLink.
9. Refund timing and method
9.1 Refund method
Refunds are made using the same payment method used for the original payment unless:
- mandatory rules require another method, or
- you expressly agree to a different method.
9.2 Refund timing
Items not purchasable (Section 4): within 24 hours from confirmation.
Other refunds (including withdrawal where applicable): within the timeframe required by mandatory law and operationally as soon as possible, noting that refunds dependent on sellers/carriers can only be processed after ArastaLink receives the refunded amounts.
9.3 Bank/PSP processing time
Even after ArastaLink issues a refund, your bank or payment service provider may take additional time to credit the funds. This is outside ArastaLink's control.
10. Right of withdrawal (14 days) - summary
Consumers may have a 14-day right of withdrawal for distance contracts under mandatory Turkish consumer rules.
Because ArastaLink's service involves immediate performance (purchasing and logistics), if you withdraw after we have started performing the service:
- you may be required to pay for the part of the service already performed up to the time of withdrawal, and
- refunds may be reduced by non-recoverable costs already incurred, where permitted by mandatory law.
The full withdrawal procedure and address are set out in the Contract. This Policy does not limit mandatory withdrawal rights.
11. How to request a refund, cancellation, or return

- your Order ID (or sufficient identifying details),
- the Item link/name,
- the reason for the request, and
- photos/screenshots where relevant (e.g., defect/wrong item).
We may ask for additional information to verify your identity, prevent fraud, or comply with legal obligations.
12. Fraud, chargebacks, and abuse
If ArastaLink reasonably suspects fraud, unauthorized use, or abuse (including repeated false claims), ArastaLink may:
- pause processing while investigating,
- request additional verification, and/or
- refuse service as permitted by law.
Chargebacks do not automatically entitle you to a refund under this Policy; disputes are handled according to the Contract, applicable law, and payment provider rules.
13. Updates to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. The version posted on the Site at the time you place an Order applies to that Order, unless mandatory law requires otherwise.
