This Prohibited & Restricted Items Policy (the "Policy") applies to all orders and shipments arranged through ArastaLink.

This Policy must be read together with our Distance Service Contract (B2C) and Refund / Returns Policy. If there is a conflict, mandatory law and the contract terms for your order prevail.

1. Compliance-first rule

ArastaLink provides assisted purchasing and international delivery services from Türkiye. We will refuse, suspend, or cancel any item, order, or shipment if, in our judgment, it:

  • is prohibited or restricted by Turkish export rules, transport safety rules, carrier rules, destination import rules, or other applicable laws;
  • involves a sanctioned/restricted person, entity, destination, or prohibited end-use;
  • creates unacceptable compliance, fraud, or safety risk for ArastaLink, our banks, carriers, payment providers, or partners.

2. Items we never handle (all destinations)

ArastaLink does not purchase, store, or ship the following categories:

2.1 Turkish export regime prohibitions and permits

We do not handle any goods:

  • prohibited from export from Türkiye, or
  • subject to export permit / prior authorization / export license, including controlled categories such as cultural heritage goods, controlled flora/fauna products, military items and other goods subject to special permissions under Turkish export regime.

2.2 Strategic / dual-use / sensitive goods

We do not handle any goods that are dual-use, strategic, sensitive, or potentially subject to export-control authorization (including components and equipment that may trigger dual-use controls).

2.3 Weapons and dangerous goods

  • firearms, weapon parts, ammunition, explosives, fireworks;
  • hazardous chemicals, toxins, flammables, pressurized containers where not allowed;
  • any goods classified as dangerous goods (DG) under air/sea/road transport rules that our carriers do not accept.

2.4 Illegal or high-risk goods

  • illegal drugs and controlled substances;
  • counterfeit/pirated goods or goods infringing IP rights;
  • cash, bullion, monetary instruments, gift cards as money substitutes;
  • personal identity documents (passports, IDs) and other items restricted by law or carriers.

3. Restricted items (case-by-case)

Some items may be restricted depending on destination and carrier rules. These include (non-exhaustive):

  • devices containing lithium batteries (phones, laptops), and especially loose batteries/power banks;
  • perfumes/cosmetics, liquids/aerosols;
  • food/supplements/medicines;
  • high-value items (jewelry, luxury goods) where carriers require special handling or refuse service.

If a restricted item cannot be shipped compliantly, it will be treated as not shippable.

4. Special rules for delivery to the Russian Federation

Shipments to Russia are treated as a heightened compliance-risk destination. ArastaLink applies enhanced controls and may request additional information.

ArastaLink will not ship to Russia:

  • any goods prohibited from export from Türkiye or requiring an export permit/license;
  • any dual-use/sensitive goods or goods that create export-control risk;
  • drones/UAVs and parts; night-vision/thermal imaging; professional radio and specialized telecom equipment; advanced electronics/components that create export-control/circumvention risk;
  • any order involving misdeclaration (false description, under-valuation, "gift" mislabeling to evade rules, concealment of destination/end-user).

We may refuse any Russia shipment if our bank, carrier, insurer, or other partner refuses it or if compliance risk is not clearly manageable.

5. What happens if an item is prohibited or restricted

If an item is identified as prohibited/not shippable before purchase, we treat it as not purchasable and apply our refund rules, including refund within 24 hours where applicable under our Refund / Returns Policy.
